Letter to the parent.
🎉 Welcome to the Thrive With ADHD Program!
What to Expect in the Program
This program is designed to give you the guidance and support you need to better understand ADHD and how it affects your child. You’ll receive coaching and tools that will help you build a relationship of love, compassion, and understanding with your child. As you go through the program, you’ll learn how to become a mindful parent, which will not only improve your child’s experience but also yours.
Our expert-developed exercises, rooted in mindfulness and psychological research, will help your child develop essential executive functioning skills. These are the building blocks they need to succeed—both in school and in life. And while you face the unique challenges of ADHD, you’ll also discover and celebrate its strengths—like creativity, imagination, and energy.
Why You Are Your Child’s Greatest Ally
No one has more influence on your child’s development than you. As their parent, you are their most important teacher, role model, and support system. You will guide them in learning how to manage their emotions, build skills, and grow into independent, resilient individuals.
The Thrive with ADHD program is built on the idea that by understanding your child’s needs and helping them feel safe and supported, you can help them thrive.
Our Approach
We use both a top-down and bottom-up approach. Top-down means helping your child learn to plan and control their behaviors intentionally. Bottom-up involves creating a safe environment and helping your child manage stress and emotions, which are often at the root of their behaviors.
This program also emphasizes mindfulness—helping your child connect their body’s sensations with their emotions. We focus on creating routines that promote well-being, including mindfulness exercises and nourishing foods that are especially beneficial for kids with ADHD. Our goal is to break the cycle of reactive parenting and help you raise kind, confident children through our Whole Brain-Body Connection approach.
Five Core Principles:
Throughout this program, we will focus on five C’s guiding principles that are essential for helping your child with ADHD:
- Calm: Stay centered and react less emotionally in challenging situations.
- Connect: Learn to understand the signals your child is sending through their actions and words.
- Co-Regulate: Help your child regulate their emotions by modeling calmness and offering support.
- Consistency: Set clear and consistent boundaries that your child can rely on.
- Compassion: Show empathy for your child’s struggles, and practice self-compassion as a parent.
What We’ll Focus On First:
Based on feedback from parents like you, we’ve identified four key areas to focus on during the first few months of the program:
- Emotional Regulation – Help your child learn to manage big feelings like frustration, anger, and anxiety.
- Focus and Attention – Teach strategies to improve concentration and attentiveness at home and in school.
- Managing Impulsivity – Guide your child in controlling impulses and thinking before they act.
- Daily Tasks – Make routines like homework, chores, and getting ready for school run more smoothly.
These are just the starting points. As the program continues, we’ll work toward deeper, long-term goals—like helping your child develop self-control and a strong moral compass, so they can become thoughtful, responsible, and kind individuals, even when no one is watching.
